Dental Lab fits a design with bite.

As a high end, specialist service provider to dental practitioners nationwide, Dental Precision required their publicity materials to be updated to reflect their quality offering.

We began with an overhaul of their brand and by using our tried and tested design methodology, we created a new logo design and an accompanying branding theme (which included stationery and business cards), that appealed to the client and to their target audience alike.

The mirrored relationship between the two letterform shapes in the logo design, suggests a considered and accurate balance - a reflection of the "precise" nature of their business.

Following the successful conclusion of this foundational branding project, we next embarked on creating a website. Whilst we needed a website to perform as an online brochure - providing information to the enquirer - we also required the site to act as a portal for users to access the behind-the-scenes members area, were we could provide a streamlined service for the customer. This powerful online tool would allow the customer to track their orders, place new orders and to access unique information to their account. This will not only benefit the end user in terms of speed and access to information, but it will also aid Dental Precision in their processes allowing them to maintain the very high standards of their service.

The design of the website needed to continue and expand on the work we had created during the logo design and so we drew upon shapes, colours and curves from the logo to help inspire our design framework for the site.

The "online brochure" element of the website has now gone live (see dentalprecision.co.uk) and the members area is nearing completion, so we have turned our attention to their next project of creating a traditional printed brochure - a brochure that needs to be clear, succinct and informative without being indulgent, but most of all, a brochure that reflects the quality of the service Dental Precision provides.

"We were looking to refresh our brand and create a new website, we were already quite far down the road with another design firm but we didn't feel that the synergy was right with them or that they understood us.  Aawen Design were recommended to us by a supplier and after meeting with Ade we felt confident that they could deliver for us.

We had very vague ideas on what we wanted but needed to be taken by the hand and led down the design path by a knowledgeable guide; this is certainly what we had from Aawen. We were absolutely thrilled with our rebranding which included the logo, corporate colours and stationery and it was completely different to what any of us had envisaged to begin with. We frequently receive compliments on our stationery, particularly our business cards.

The website had been 'under-construction' for years as we couldn't find the look, feel and design we felt the business deserved. Ade and Sam at Aawen just 'got it'; again they supported us at every step, providing guidance, exploring options and being honest with their opinions. Sam was particularly patient - he had three of us to please, all with differing opinions and I didn't ever feel that we were a nuisance although I'm sure sometimes we were.

The new website launched in October and we are all delighted by what has been created - it's uncluttered, visually accessible, informative and easy to navigate. We are continuing to work with Aawen on phase 2 of the site which is a dynamic and will allow our customers an interactive experience. For this part they have had to co-ordinate two external companies and keep us involved.

It's taken almost 10 years and three design companies to find the brand and website that truly represents Dental Precision. Aawen listened to our needs and used their expertise to deliver exceptional results, we would recommend Aawen to anyone (and have)."
