PRESS RELEASE: Aawen Design Moving
A Cornish design agency is relocating its office to Truro's city centre in a move to expand the business.
Aawen Design Studio, which has been based at Penstraze Business Centre near Chacewater for eleven years, is moving to 19 Lemon Street - the business heart of the city - from Friday 1st July.
Adrian Taylor, Creative Director of Aawen, explains why this is an important move for the company and a significant time:
"We launched Aawen in 1999 and have a growing portfolio of clients due to the results we are achieving and the relationships that we build. One of the keys to this continued success is our professional yet friendly approach. We listen to what our clients require and help them to identify the most appropriate and effective way of achieving their desired outcome.
"This process can be much more effective in person and as many of our clients are based around Truro, the office on Lemon Street will make us a great deal more accessible to them, as well as remaining central to our clients across Cornwall - resulting in a more cost effective and timely service."
The move comes at a time when one of the team has been short-listed for an Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) award for business growth.
Sam Manley has been nominated by UCP for "Catalyst to Business Growth" following his work in web development and animation for the company. Aawen appointed Sam in November 2009 to enable the business to adapt to the increase in demand for online design services. The result has been a five-fold increase in web related work for clients which has included website design and development, flash advertising, email campaigns and client training in CMS, SEO and Social Media.
In addition to the enhanced expertise that Sam has brought to the team at Aawen, they will also be joined at 19 Lemon Street by Rob Wheele of Wheelhouse Design. With over 21 years in the sector, which includes 13 years of running his own company, Rob has built up an impressive reputation within the design industry, regularly working with national and international clients.
Rob explains how he looks forward to working alongside Aawen: "With an office currently in Brighton, I wanted to develop a second office for Wheelhouse Design in Cornwall to better serve our clients here. By working with the team at Aawen, I can call upon their expertise particularly in web design."
Adrian added: "This is an exciting time for Aawen and we are looking forward to working closely with Rob at Wheelhouse Design, the UCP awards on the 15th July, and of course settling into our new offices at Lemon Street."
Aawen offer design services for corporate identity, websites, digital media, advertising and displays, printed publicity literature, illustration and packaging. The team provides creative and targeted designs for clients including Visit Cornwall, Cornwall Air Ambulance, Atass, Cornwall Council, National Maritime Museum Cornwall, British International Helicopters and Truro School Enterprises.
